Human Resources Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Processes hourly and salary payroll
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Help maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Coordinate and assist with company culture events, team training, management of vendors
  • Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers
  • Following up on the interview process status
  • Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail & time-management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent worker/self-motivated
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Creative thinker with the ability to contribute fresh ideas
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint plus the ability to learn new programs each
