Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating various machinery and equipment involved in cutting plastics, rubber, and foam. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision details.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates machinery according to prints and specifications including required alignment, calibrations, and dimensions. Assigned machinery may include saws, routers, lathes, or other similar equipment.
• Produces the required quantity of parts according to work orders and production targets.
• Performs quality control and measures finished parts to ensure compliance with established specifications and tolerances on function, dimensions, and visual appearance.
• Identifies and troubleshoots issues with produced parts or machine issues promptly as they arise.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and understand dimensional drawings.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
