The Role:
The Account Executive, Food & Beverage (AE) will work primarily with prospects in a defined territory. The ideal candidate is a hunter, who has experience building a territory from scratch, and is obsessed with finding and selling new customers. The AE will focus on a set of Target Accounts within the Food & Beverage (F&B) manufacturing vertical, with a specific focus in the Small to Medium (SMB) space and will partner with Marketing and the greater GTM team to execute a vertical market strategy. The territory is primarily greenfield and will be a defined region within the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain a pipeline of opportunity adequate to manage to a specific quota
- Engage and provide significant input on strategy and execution of a go-to-market plan for ERP software in the F&B manufacturing space
- Drive deep relationships with executive and leadership-level personnel within prospect accounts
- Identify, track, and close opportunities for new business, within an assigned territory
- Serve as a customer advocate with relevant internal Datacor teams
- Coordinate internal Datacor resources across various teams to ensure customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue potential
- Travel up to 30-50% of the year for tradeshows, customer and prospect visits, and internal meetings
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience, selling B2B software solutions in the SMB and large enterprise space
- Experience selling ERP and/or MES software into Food & Beverage manufacturing and distribution strongly preferred
- Experience selling to CFO’s, Presidents/owners, Plant and Operations Managers, Quality Assurance professionals and other Manufacturing related roles strongly preferred
- Experience working with large Chemical, Food & Beverage, Compressed Gas or other process manufacturing and distribution related verticals preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering preferred
- Innate self-motivation and eagerness to learn
- Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to function independently
- Experience building and managing a territory
- Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of manufacturing concepts and software
